Imagsa Technologies has been featured in the Enforcement section of the magazine ITS International, issue Nov/Dec 2009. The future of ANPR systems lies in introducing intelligence into the camera (i.e. a close interacion between the image sensor and the image processor, to achieve best performance).

SEP 2009: Imagsa unveils the Mercury' Traffic, a vehicle license plate image sensor
Mercury'Traffic is a custom implementation of Mercury'U to process road traffic and deliver high-quality images (in terms of resolution and sensitivity) of vehicle license plate. Therefore, with Mercury'Traffic the OCR software can really achieve high recognition rates (above 90%) under challenging environmental conditions. Mercury' Traffic is the technology core of the smart ALPR camera Atalaya.
APR 2009: Imagsa exhibits its products and latest innovations on smart-cameras in Traffex
Imagsa has exhibited its products and latest innovations on smart-cameras in Traffex, held on the NEC-Birmingham from 21-23 April 2009.
At Traffex, Imagsa has had the opportunity to explain its innovative plate detection technique which achieves full traffic analysis without external triggers and it gets best plate detection results and image quality independently of environmental and traffic conditions.
APR 2009: Traffex preview in Traffic Technology International and Thinking Highways.
Imagsa has been chosen as one of only 27 companies to be showcased in a Traffex preview featured in the February/March edition of Thinking Highways. In the same issue, Imagsa has edited an article on its vision to develop multiple ANPR applications embedded in one single all-in-one smart camera (Atalaya), to reduce projects' infrastructure costs.
Imagsa has also been chosen as one of only 13 companies to be showcased in a Traffex preview featured in the February/March edition of Traffic Technology International.

MAR 2009: Imagsa attends the II Congreso ITS en Autopistas de Peaje
The II Congreso ITS en Autopistas de Peaje (ITS Congress on Payment Highways), held in Barcelona the 31st March, has provided an excellent opportunity to explore the latest developments on themes such as the Eurovignette Directive, the mobility in highways and the European Electronic Tolling Service (EETS) among others.
JAN 2009: Imagsa contributes to the journey time monitoring system for the first variable speed application in Spain (Barcelona).
Imagsa has been selected by ACISA as a systems provider to the first variable speed application in Spain (Barcelona). Atalaya smart cameras perform journey time monitoring. Once again, Imagsa is involved in the leading ITS projects around Spain.
JAN 2009: Imagsa spreads out its technology innovations and products to international media.
In January 2009, Imagsa spreads out to the international media the technology innovations inherent in the smart-camera Atalaya.
Traffic Technology International, a leading ITS magazine, has published a technical article reviewing Imagsa's ALPR system (Atalaya). The magazine also includes details of the smart-camera Atalaya in the report on Machine Vision. Imagsa has also placed and advertisement in the magazine.
Imagsa has also been included in the Company A-Z of Road Traffic Technology, the website for the road traffic industry.
NOV 2008: Imagsa's Dangerous Goods project in the news.
The digital edition of the newspaper Diario Vasco published an article about the Dangerous Goods Project in the Bask Country, where there are 24 DGSentinels deployed. The EITB TV recorded a programme on the same project.
NOV 2008: Imagsa member of ITS Spain.
Imagsa has joined the Spanish association ITS Spain to actively contribute to define best-practices in the intelligent transportation systems sector.
OCT 2008: Imagsa in the 8th ITS Spanish Congress in Oviedo, from 14th to 16th October 2008.
In the Congress, Imagsa Technologies exhibited the product Atalaya to the Spanish ITS community.
OCT 2008: Imagsa and ACISA deploys Dangerous Goods application in Spanish Bask Country.
The tight technological cooperation of Imagsa (High Performance Computing with FPGAs) and ACISA (software development) allows the development of the most advanced system for Dangerous Goods transportation control (DGSentinel). This system is composed of 24 high performance smart cameras (Atalaya) deployed along the territory of the Bask Country (north of Spain).
OCT 2008: Imagsa gets support form Spanish government.
The company is recognized by CDTI and CIDEM as a highly innovative start-up. Imagsa has been granted with public funds from the “NEOTEC” and “Capital Concepte” programs.
JAN 2008: Imagsa signs a strategic agreement with Spanish system integrator.
The agreement with Aeronaval de Construcciones e Instalaciones S.A. (ACISA) allows the company to start the second half of its ambitious R+D program. During this second two-year period the company will focus its effort in solving the most performance-hungry applications in traffic control and ITS sector.
