A System Integrator has used the programmable artificial vision platform Atalaya to develop DGSentinel, an end-to-end solution to monitor the transport of dangerous goods in the roads.

DGSentinel responds to the government authorities increasing interest on Safety and Security regarding the transport of dangerous goods.

The system monitors the road in real-time to identify the vehicles carrying dangerous materials. When DGSentinel identifies such a vehicle, it captures and analyses high-quality images of the three license plates of the truck (hazardous goods plate, vehicle plate and trailer plate).

DGSentinel improves the management and security of hazardous materials transport in the road and provides a more efficient response to incidents.
